How long does it take to connect an integration?
Shopify will take under 2 minutes with our one-click install, once our App Store listing is approved. Ad platform integrations (Meta, Google Ads, GA4) require OAuth authorisation and take about 5 minutes each. Data starts flowing immediately after connection.
Do I need a developer to set up integrations?
No. Every integration is built to be self-serve with guided setup flows, though none is connectable yet: our Shopify listing and ad-platform connectors are still pending approval. Shopify will be a one-click app install and ad platforms use standard OAuth. No code, no API keys, no developer required.
What data does NodeNarrative access from each integration?
We request the minimum access required for attribution. From Shopify: read access to orders, products, and customer records. From ad platforms: read access to campaign performance, spend, and conversion events. For Meta, we also use the Conversions API to send first-party server-side conversion events back to improve match quality. We never post organic content on your behalf or modify campaign settings.
Do I need to be on Shopify to use NodeNarrative?
No. Our Universal Ecommerce Pixel runs on any platform: WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, custom carts, or headless storefronts. The pixel captures orders, line items, and customer events directly without webhooks or app installs, so you get the full Order/LineItem graph for attribution regardless of where your store is hosted. Shopify gets a one-click install; everyone else uses the pixel-only path.
Can I request a new integration?
Yes. Contact us at hello@nodenarrative.io or use the contact form to request an integration. We prioritise based on customer demand, so the more requests, the sooner we build it.
Can I switch from Segment, Snowplow, or GA4 without changing my data pipeline?
Yes. Our collector compatibility layer accepts events in Snowplow, Segment, and GA4 formats out of the box. Point your existing data pipeline at the NodeNarrative collector endpoint and events flow directly into the knowledge graph. No code changes, no migration project. We also provide a lightweight JavaScript SDK for custom event collection.
Is my data secure when connected through integrations?
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 minimum, TLS 1.3 preferred) and at rest (AES-256). We use OAuth 2.0 for authentication and never store your platform passwords. Data is processed on Google Cloud Platform with enterprise-grade encryption and access controls.
